We are grateful for the countless individuals who have given to Philosophy Day with care and commitment. We hope others will continue this tradition and support the School. As a non-profit, independent school, we depend on the charitable support from current parents, grandparents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, faculty, staff trustees and friends.

Cash
The easiest way to give to Philosophy Day is with a gift of cash. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law and can be paid by cash, check or credit card.
You may make a gift online or contact the Development Office at 212-744-7300 to make a gift over the telephone (Visa and Mastercard ONLY). You may also make checks payable to “Philosophy Day School” and send to the Business Office, Philosophy Day School, 12 East 79th Street, New York, NY 10075. Please indicate how you would like your name to appear in the Report on Giving.
Matching Gifts
Matching gifts to Philosophy Day School are doubled because corporations and foundations match gifts made by their employees and retirees. Please obtain the appropriate matching gift form from your personnel office and return it along with your gift to the School. The donor is credited for the full amount of the gift (including the corporate match).
Securities
A gift of appreciated securities is a popular alternative to a cash gift because it offers a two-fold tax savings. It provides you with an income tax deduction based on the median price on the date of transfer of the stock to Philosophy Day, provided it is held for more than twelve months. In addition, there is no capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the stock.
