Trips

Located in the center of New York City and along Museum Mile, the school makes extensive use of the city’s rich cultural offerings.

Each class in the LowerSchool is scheduled for one field trip every other week, mostly on Friday afternoons. These trips reinforce curriculum in the areas of Art, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies.

Frequent trips are made to Central Park, New York Public Library, Central Park Conservancy, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cloisters, Museum of Natural History, Urban Park Rangers, Transit Museum, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Jewish Museum, Dr. Davies Apple Picking Farm, Central Park Children’s Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Museum of the City of New York, Police Station, Post Office, Fire House, National Museum of the American Indian, New York Historical Society, New York Botanical Gardens and the School’s country property in Wallkill, New York.
