The only factor which faces the reasonable man, is building character.

Greetings from the Head of the School

Philosophy Day School provides an education for Nursery to Fifth grade students which draws out and magnifies the unique talents which are innate in every student. Our low student-teacher ratios allow us to differentiate instruction based on individual strengths, interests, and abilities. We provide an environment which enriches the intellectual, social and emotional development of the student in a caring and nurturing atmosphere.

Philosophy Day students enjoy a balanced and rich curriculum and benefit from an outstanding art, drama and music program that flourishes in the school. We emphasize a classical education of high academic standards that draws from Eastern and Western civilizations. Yet, we believe education to be a great deal more than just the acquisition of exam results. Our philosophy is to integrate all aspects of the child – intellect, body and spirit.

We encourage students to develop a joy for life-long learning, strength in their own abilities, and care for others and the world around them, while placing particular emphasis on the development of the student’s character. Our dedicated teachers are experts in their subjects and have been chosen for their capacity to devote themselves to the well-being and development of their students. When students move on to middle school from Philosophy Day, they leave as well-rounded students and, more importantly, as wonderful people.

We warmly invite you to visit us and see for yourself the happiness and excellence fostered by the distinctive approach offered at Philosophy Day.

Sincerely,

William Fox
